Q: Why is your payment schedule every four weeks instead of a monthly basis?
A: Our schedule is set up so that our tuition can
be as low as possible. Our prices are actually based on an
hourly rate times four. If we went on a monthly basis, we would need to
raise our prices to make cover the whole month.
We do not want to present a hardship on our clients that have children in
multiple classes or more than one child attending
If you would like to pay for more than one session at a time, we can leave a
credit balance on your account.
Q: Why can't you credit my account if I miss a class instead of making it up.
A: All of our classes have size limit.
Many of our classes are full. Your child is still taking a spot in a
class even if they are not attending.
We do our best to adhere to our size limit to create an atmosphere that is both
beneficial to your child and our coaches. Our makeup policy
gives you thirty days to reschedule your class. If there is a serious
medical condition that would prevent your child from attending, contact our
office as soon as possible so that we can make arrangements for you.
Q: Why don't you take credit cards or debit cards?
A: There are high fees associated with credit &
debit cards. We are trying to keep our tuition as low as possible.
We would need to raise our
fees to cover the additional cost.
Q: Why a tuition increase?
Most of our cost increases are attributed to the local and state government.
Property Tax 2009 to 2010 18% increase (while property value went down)
B & O Tax increase 2009 to 2010 30% increase (this is the tax we pay for every dollar collected for services. In Oregon you only pay on income)
Fire Marshal inspections up to 2009 where Free, Starting 2010 $385.00 for first inspection only
Vancouver Business license in 2006 was $50.00, starting in 2007 jumped to $995.00
Rent 5.5% increase from 2008 to 2010
Gym supplies approx 4% increase 2009 to 2010
